Coast Guard Foundation Family Childcare Provider Grants

Posted on April 15, 2019

In conjunction with the Month of the Military Child this April, we are happy to announce a new initiative between the Coast Guard Foundation and the United States Coast Guard.

The Coast Guard Foundation is launching a grant program that will assist Coast Guard spouses who are becoming certified Family Child Care (FCC) providers an opportunity to offset their start-up costs to establish child care businesses in their homes.

Thanks to the generosity of GEICO, a strong supporter of the Armed Forces that has served military customers for more than 80 years, the Coast Guard Foundation will award 20 individual grants of $1,000 each to Coast Guard spouses establishing Family Childcare Centers in government-owned housing at Base Kodiak, Training Center Cape May, Sector New York and Training Center Petaluma. This FCC grant program will be a 2-year pilot.

The Coast Guard Foundation is proud to sponsor a pilot program that, in addition to providing new childcare options for Coast Guard families, will provide employment for Coast Guard spouses, both of which are core areas of Coast Guard Foundation support.

How to Apply:
